I believe that materials equal ability. This saves time, gas and money because I don't need to go buy new things constatly. From a very young age I was enclined toward mechanical devices, specifically fans and later air conditioning equipment. In '96 I bought my house which has a garage that is bigger than the house. That's one reason I picked it. It is very useful for recycling. I am epa certified to work with freon. Window A/Cs and dehumidifiers are easily repairable in many more cases than not, so that is what I do with them. Those which are not repairable donate parts. Refrigerants are captured properly and reused. All units I have would have been scrapped and the freon vented into the air! The repaired units are provided at very low cost to people who probably otherwise would have no airconditioning. For my work I get lot's of grief from the city. Various departments send their snoops to trespass and hassle, micromanage and recite alot of bureaucratic bS. I learn from this that many of the "GREEEEEN' people are phoney as a fed note. This foolishness has vast appeal to my stubborn side, therefore I plan to do as I have been and more. The phoneys and the establishmernt minions can go Fly a kite with algore ! To the rest of us who are authentic about it and and NOT politically motivated, way to go ad keep up the good work.
